Machar made the pledge during a fundraising event organized by the Pannyok Inter-Bomas Tournament committee at Medan Jamus on Friday.
In addition to the financial contribution, Machar challenged the tournament committee to raise $15,000 to fund the installation of one hand pump, saying he would provide funding for a second hand pump if the committee achieves its target.
Machar said his contribution toward the second hand pump would be conditional on the committee successfully raising the $15,000 target.
The initiative is intended to combine the tournament’s sporting activities with community development efforts, particularly improving access to water in Pannyok.
Machar is among the aspirants seeking election to the National Parliament for Constituency No. 3, which comprises Akoc and Pannyok Payams.
Twic Media Reports will continue to monitor developments related to the tournament and the candidates contesting parliamentary seats in Twic County.
