Deng Lok has thanked elders, youth, friends, and members of the Tonj and Twic Mayardit communities for peacefully resolving a dispute over a vehicle through dialogue and consultation.
He clarified that his earlier live broadcast was intended only to address public speculation and not to request a replacement vehicle, apologizing for any misunderstanding.
Deng said he accepted the new vehicle as a symbol of unity and reconciliation rather than for its material value, while expressing special appreciation to community leaders from both Tonj and Twic Mayardit for their role in restoring mutual understanding.
In 2024, Deng was gifted a vehicle by the Tonj Hustlers Group in recognition of his public song praise for the community, but the vehicle was later reclaimed by the group's current leader in July 2026, following a misunderstanding between the two.
The incident prompted intervention by Tonj community leaders, who held consultations and collectively decided to present Deng with a new vehicle to help resolve the dispute peacefully.
