President Kiir Meets Miss World South Sudan Ahead of Vietnam Pageant

President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday met Miss World South Sudan 2026, Nyandeng Kerubino Kuanyin Bol, ahead of her departure to represent the country at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World pageant, scheduled to run from Aug. 9 to Sept. 5 in Vietnam.Nyandeng was accompanied by Mr. World South Sudan, Amac Mathiang Ater Apugi, National Director of the Miss World South Sudan Organisation Mary Nyanut Ring Machar, and Chairlady of the South Sudan Women's Union, Nyalang Dhal Dhal.

According to the Office of the President, Kiir wished the delegation success and encouraged Nyandeng to serve as a positive ambassador for South Sudan by showcasing the country's culture, diversity and potential on the international stage.
Nyandeng, a graduate of Western Kentucky University who is pursuing a master's degree in Immigration Law at the University of Indianapolis, was officially announced as South Sudan's representative for the global pageant earlier this year.
The Miss World competition will bring together contestants from around the world in Vietnam as the pageant marks its 75th anniversary.
